there was this marathon t12 category and at first i didnt really know what it was and i saw this china guy (qi shun i think) and he was running so well and hanging in there and pushing himself to overtake everyone and when he crossed the finish line i was so happy for him!
then the announcer said that it was the visually impaired category and i was STUNNED.
i have no idea how he ran it without being able to see but that just shows how AWESOME THESE PEOPLE ARE.
and he ran it in 2.5hrs which is pretty fast even if you compare with the normal olympic marathon runners!
i really respect them, they really go against the odds.
and when he collapsed on the track crying i was like awww dont cry!
so i started crying too HAHAHA.

i have so much respect for them after watching the paraolympics.
i feel that its a great event, cause there are actually alot of paraolympics sports and it gives the disabled a wide range and number of opportunities to shine.
and some of them are really super pro!

PARAOLYMPICS BASKETBALL IS AWESOME.
you need a hell lot of strength and accuracy than when standing up.
they may be at a much lower level and further away from the basket but they are SO ACCURATE AND SO MANY CHOP BALLS OMG.
and its very hard to positon your wheelchair and pass accurately but they do it so well and i have deep respect for them

its a heck load better to watch than the normal olympics

i have never been this stressed over an exam or had so much trouble studying for one.
i feel like just giving up on prelims HAHA.
so much to do with so little time left.
i still have whole of macro and physics which i havent even touched sigh.
and i dont even know if the other stuff i read are still in my head, my head has been feeling very light the past few days as though nothing stayed inside at all.
why do i find it so hard to concentrate on my work :(

of course there are still people i love in school but i think the ecstacy and joy has been sucked right out of it.

i guess different people prefer different types of happiness and im just not in an environment that gives me the type of happiness that suits me.
but i definitely dont believe that im wrong or doing anything bad.
after coming to jc, i think ive got a much stronger set of personal values.

geography, the bane of my existence.
it is not an exam subject, its knowledge about the universe.
how the hell can you expect a student to know everything about the lithosphere processes, hazards and management, hydrological processes, hazards and managements and globalisation.
i have to know things from the asthenosphere which is a plastic semi-fluid layer inside the earth's crust, to how water can pluck out fragments from a bedrock, to chemical ideas of bubbles formed in high velocities waters and upon bursting provides an explosion of energy to erode rock, to predicting floods, to the nitrate vulnerable zones in the uk, to how nike specialises their production process where someone draws the stupid tick and someone cuts the stupid tick and someone sews the stupid tick, to whether the world bank makes the world a better place.

WHAT THE HELL.
i think i can be god if i master geography (no offence to all religions)
its like squeezing all the information of everything in this universe into my head.
i cant imagine how h2 geog people who have to add in atmosphere (westerlies, easterlis, monsoon, it haunted me in secondary school full geog) and how university geography is like.

i have been doing geog for millions of days and i cant seem to finish it cause i have to read through 15 chapters of lithosphere, 8 chapters of hydrological, 11 chapters of human, all the readings and case studies which is like 1km thick and all the answer guidelines given by the teachers.

i have yet to properly start econs, physics and math and my prelims start next week.

i left earlier than michelle lai but she reached there first HAHA.
she was so fascinated with the fishes at this fish/aquarium shop thing when i arrived at sunset way.
went grocery shopping with her at sunset way, and by that time it was like 8.
i love grocery shopping <3
i get very tempted by all the products and i ended up buying 85cents korean mushrooms, french four fruit jam in really pretty packaging, meiji pasturized milk, bread and other goodies for denise leong's present.
saw hockey seniors at daily scoop!
took a nice long walk down the quiet lanes of sunset way, i love such quaint bungalow areas (:
took 61 home and omg it was like past 10 when i got home.
crammed physics on the bus ride back for my modern physics test the next day.
left my econs notes in school so i couldnt study for my test the next day :(

a very badly done econs test cause i had no content in my head.
modern physics test was ok i hope (:
had econs enrichment then went to study with yiting <3
from the canteen, to the grandstand, to the pac area.
yiting had to go at 6 and i studied myself!

then went to meet lois, michelle lai and jasmin for ding tai feng dinner at paragon.

reached home and watched olympics HAHAHA.
and i got tired soon after i started studying and thus fell asleep at like 9+?!

today
i actually cried while watching olympics HAHAHA.
i have to say that women table tennis team events are very emotional?!
one bloody event can take like past 3 hours.
and today i saw the japan vs hong kong match to battle to see who will get to play for the bronze medal match.
it was 1-1 and japan's doubles won to make it 2-1
and their win was the lost the first 2 sets but came back from behind to win 3-2 to win the whole game.
but japan's singles lost the next match due to nerves and it was 2-2
it was also another exciting game with japan losing the first 2 sets then coming back to win the 3rd and was tied with the hong kong player at 10-10 during the 4th set but lost the 2 match points due to nerve.
gosh SO EXCITING?!
then it was the final singles match to determine whether japan or hong kong will go through.
and the japan player was SO DETERMINED.
she freaking had fire in her eyes, very very intense.
and she totally rattled the world famous hong kong player who was expected to win.
and so the japanese player owned her 3-0 to win the whole match for japan.
and the team was so happy!
all crying and hugging each other and i couldnt help by cry too HAHAHHAA.

and i also saw germany vs china mens beach volleyball.
world number 8 germany who lost their first two games won world number 1 unbeaten china to move on to top 8.
the germans were SO COOL.
BYE CHINA HAHA.

and the top 4 countries going into the semi finals of womens soccer are japan, germany, usa and brazil.
WAHHHHH SO NICE TO WATCH :D

ryoko tani womens judo bronze, who came back after giving birth and is such a cute fighting mother HAHA
womens badminton doubles won world number 1 pair from china, MAJOR UPSET FOR CHINA HAHAHA.
mens gymnastics team got silver
mens badminton singles won some indian guy HAHA but omg the japanese was so good
womens hockey won new zealand 2-1, didnt manage to catch it though :(

germany womens hockey (04 olympics gold medalist) won new zealand 2-1, THE MATCH WAS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEE
germany womens soccer won north korea 1-0
germany mens hockey (world number 2) won china 3-1/4-1, OMG THE GERMANS ARE ALL SO GOOD AT HOCKEY <3

and some interesting events that i saw were like
boxing world number 1 vs world number 2.
the world number 2 ukrainian owned the world number 1 russian omg, DAMN COOLZZZZZZZZ.
when he managed to like stun the world number 1 in a corner, he was like BAM BAM BAM and whoa the score skyrocketed man HAHA

and equestarian!

basketball was super cool omg and i think judo is actually very nice to watch.
for judo the points can go up to like hundreds with just one flip? HAHA
but i think their speed, agility and strength are very impressive (:

its an oddly cheerful sounding song but yet this song always get me contemplating.

the past week has been pretty uneventful that ive even forgotten what i did HAHA.
well i only remember econs enrichment on thurs.
although it made me stay back all the way till 5 for it, i actually enjoyed it alot.
i learnt alot actually and i really enjoy econs :D
then took the bus home with carmen!

then yesterday we had a gp lecture on happiness.
amidst trying to cram for my econs test the period after the lecture, i managed to learn some interesting things.

my family's importance to me has been growing.
i used to be on rather bad terms with my family but they have always been there and has offered me some of the best advice i ever had and especially since jc, ive been much closer to my family (:
and i think sometimes when you get back a piece of work that you were satisfied with and you got a good score to back up that satisfaction, the feeling is incredible :D
and to me, community and friends is the most important.
i think people around me have the biggest influence on me EVER and my happiness is so very dependent on people, and sometimes i hate that it is.
after coming jc, i think ive realised that personal values are very essential.
maybe cause of the new environment for ive not been as lucky as others to meet people that are just like them, i have met many clashes with my personal values and that was when i realised that how much of your personal values is retained very much affects happiness.

but ANYWAY, (HAHA i can get very carried away when talking about such stuff)
after school killed time playing bridge with nigel again HAHA.
play frisbee with the competition people then went for dinner at fish and co.
oh gosh i was feeling real tired and anti social HAHA.
